Well this week sure wasn't as good as last week. But I had a terrible weekend. I gained a half a pound. I know that's not much but it was a gain not a lost.
I was doing good on the elliptical, then I got slack on the weekend. Not to mention Friday night we ate at Cracker Barrel. But it didn't stop there. Saturday we finally started moving everything out of my Mother-in-Laws house into a storage building. So we were busy with that so we ate at Pizza Hut for lunch. Sunday I did okay until we visited Bruster's after church Sunday night. For those who may not know what Bruster's is, I had an ice cream cone.
So last night I got my butt back on the elliptical, and surprised myself by making it for twenty minutes.
So how about y'all? I've had several leave comments that they needed to eat healthier and/or they needed to exercise. So are any of y'all that weren't exercising, have y'all started a routine yet? Would love to hear if you have and what results you are seeing.
Thena ..have you ever considered doing weight watchers??? My daughter swears by them. The point system alows you to eat whatever you want. Its a very successful program. You can even do it online..but it's best to meet once a week for encouragement! Good luck n hang in their with your routine...just take it one day at a time n don't beat up on yourself. It's better to lose slowly, that way it stays off! Thanks for your tip on where to find some barns too. We are here until April 1 and then back up to Pa. Yep...we are loving this weather! Thankx for asking! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm sad to say, no, I haven't started exercising yet. I'm trying to adjust to a new dosage of thyroid medication, and it's kicking my butt (major fatigue). Keep posting, I won't be tired forever!
ReplyDeleteDon't beat yourself up about the gain. I too gained .4 pounds this past week! UGH. Thought I was following the plan (Weight Watchers). I think it could have been water weight. Just get back on track... whatever you are doing, it is definitely working!
ReplyDeleteWhatever you do, dear one, don't give up. I too had a gain when I weighed in on Sunday morning - a half pound. It is discouraging, but I reminded myself that I have to think long-term and that this is just a little bump in the road on my journey to a healthier lifestyle. ;-)
ReplyDeleteNo exercise here. Just trying to use portion control and eat healthier. I lost 1 lb. this week!
