Out of the loop and my days lately

I feel like I have been totally out of it for over a week now. Ever since our computer crashed, died, went totally south. So now my only resource is my husband's work laptop when he gets home every evening.
A couple of days before our computer died a couple of blogs I had went on began opening page after page of the two blogs. Until there was about 18 pages opened. Not sure if that had anything to do with the computer dying or not. But since then I have been so leery of the blogs I go on. I follow about 90 blogs so since then ' I have only been reading the blogs that I have for the few months I have been blogging. I'm sorry but the 10 or so that I added the week before my computer crashed may be safe. But as I've always been told it's better to be safe than sorry.

Also this is how I've been spending my days while Megan is working.
Have you ever seen a sweeter face? I am loving getting sugar from her all day.

Wal-Mart

Update as per Megan: lol The name of the local pharmacy is McCook's across from Fordham's Farmhouse.

The more blogs I read, it seems that some puts a title so that when googled their blog will be found. Well this one should be pretty popular. LOL
Why is it that people feel like any answer even a wrong one is better than none at all? I dropped off a prescription for Makayla Monday morning at Wal-mart. I was told give us about 30 minutes. An hour later she tells me were out of that medicine will get more in at 5:00 this afternoon. So I returned around 3:00 on Tuesday. I was asked when I dropped it off and proceeded to tell her that I was told they would have more by 5:00 on Monday. So she checked and then returned and say we won't have anymore until Friday. I said that won't work. Could I please have my prescription back? She said I guess you would be pulling your hair out by then.
I didn't say what I really would have liked to have said.
Why does some medicines come with such a stigma? Just assuming that if your child is on a certain type of medicine, that she must be a monster.
If your going to work in a pharmacy, even if your not the pharmacist. Read up on the medicines and familiarize yourself with it's purpose before making wise cracks about it.
But this person was an older lady and their view on medicines for attention deficit is that the child just needs a good spanking. As in previous blogs I thoroughly researched ADD before putting Makayla on it. I realize now just how frustrating it was for her to sit in school and daydream and not concentrate on her work.
So the next time you decide to ridicule my decision for putting my child on medicine. Be thankful that you are healthy and perfect. Because what goes around comes around.
Also, I took the prescription to a locally owned pharmacy this morning and it took about 15 minutes to get it filled. Nice courteous people, that went out of their way to make sure I was taken care of.
So from here on out they will get my pharmacy business.

Happy Easter !!!!!!!!

One sure sign of Easter is dying Easter eggs. I wish they could have done a bowl full of them. But only three of the six of us eat them. That would be alot of egg eating. lol
But they still had fun none the less. We always hide plastic eggs Easter afternoon. Because there's nothing more disgusting than finding boiled eggs weeks later. Gross! LOL

Never thought I would say this

I'm tired of shopping!!!! I've realized this week a woman can truly get tired of shopping. Sunday after church and lunch, we all went Easter shopping. As in me, my husband his two kids and two of mine. Ages, 8, 9, 11, and 18. After several hours and two malls we had all but mine and my 11 year old step-daughter. I don't understand what the designers of clothes are thinking. Some of the clothes we saw even for my eight year old daughter, simply put trashy looking. Maybe I'm old-fashioned, but this isn't something I want my eight year old daughter wearing Easter morning to church.
So Monday we headed out again, this time myself, Makayla, and Brianna (my step-daughter), met my oldest daughter and granddaughter in town. After a few more hours of shopping we found a dress for Brianna. I found a skirt and sweater I liked but the skirt was too big. So after returning home I remembered my husband was about an hour away and there was also a Cato's in that town. He says the women probably laughed for quite a while, him looking for a specific skirt for me. But after I talked to a sales clerk there we came up with one.

We took a break from shopping Tuesday and Wednesday and returned at it once again yesterday. This time for shoes. So after shopping for shoes, and grocery shopping in Wal-mart in the middle of the day. A big no-no by the way. It's way too crowded. We are through shopping for Easter. Can't wait to post plenty of pictures after we get all dressed up on Sunday. Happy Easter!!!!!!!!!!!

They said this day would come

I know I was warned of getting to the point of nothing to blog about. Thought it would last a day or two. But it's been a week. Is my life really that boring?
It's Spring Break this week and the kids are home. This cold snap isn't helping matters, because they think just because it's Spring they should be able to play in the sprinkler. Would be the pool but it's still not up to swimming condition since sitting lonely for the winter.
We went shopping Sunday afternoon and most all day Monday. So by Tuesday the last thing I wanted to do was more shopping. Can you believe it, a woman can actually get tired of going shopping?
Tomorrow is suppose to be a more spring-like day so we will definitely be finding something to do outside.

There's nothing like it.

Last night Megan and Denny had their first night out since Emily was born. And guess who got to watch Emily. Me "Nana". Can you hear the excitement? She's one month old today? WOW! Seems like only yesterday we were all sitting around and pacing the floor waiting for her to make her arrival.

So here's a few pics to show how we spent our evening. But mostly it was an evening of Nana holding her and getting lots and lots of sugar.

I did it!!!!

About a month ago my husband and I was looking at buying a lawn mower. And we all know men and their toys. He wanted a riding one with all the bells and whistles, in which is totally out of our budget. I begged him for a push mower, so much more affordable and I promised him that I would always cut the grass. I'm home all day so why not, plus I definitely need the exercise.
He's been out of town alot lately. He left Monday and will be home this afternoon. So yesterday afternoon I made my mind up to get the grass cut before he got home. And "I Did It"!!! I cut the entire yard by myself yesterday in a little less than three hours. What a work-out. It was cloudy with a nice breeze, and the thought hit me. Sure it's easy today but what about August when the heat index is over 100. Will just have to do it early mornings and then jump in the pool to cool off. lol Now to see if he even notices when he gets home today. We shall see.
