Biscuits & Gravy
ReplyDeleteBake biscuits according to package directions.
Fry one pound sausage in skillet until no longer pink. Drain off all but about two tablespoons grease. Add two tablespoons flour and cook over medium heat for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring continually. Add approximately 2 cups milk and stir continually until mixture thickens. You may have to add more milk if it is too think, or a little more flour if too thin. Add salt and plenty of black pepper to taste. Cut biscuits in half and spoon the yummy gravy over the biscuit. YUM YUM!!!

ReplyDeleteBISCUIT TOPPING FOR STEW is a quick and easy one.
ReplyDeleteYou'll be needing 1/4 cup shortening,1 cup flour,1 tsp baking powder,1/2 tsp salt,1 or 2 eggs and 1/4 cup milk
Cut shortening into dry ingredients until mixture resembles coarse meal. Add egg and milk. Mix only until dampened. Drop by spoonful onto stew. Bake at 400 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
Mini pizzas...cut biscuts in half...spread pizza sauce on each half and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese...bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes. Kids love this little gem!

ReplyDeleteThose all sound like awesome recipes. What came to mind for me would be mini little pizza, heat them up and slice them in half, top with some sauce and cheese, popping them back in the oven for a little melting.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info!!!
ReplyDeleteI have to say I love using grands for mini ham & cheese sandwiches.
ReplyDeleteGrand Dessert Pizza
ReplyDelete•4 cups peeled, cored, sliced apples
•1/4 cup water
•3/4 cup all-purpose flour
•1 cup granulated sugar
•1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
•1/2 teaspoon salt
•1/2 cup softened butter
Spread Pillsbury Grands into a circular pan. Place apples into pan. Combine flour, sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle crumb mixture over the apples. Bake apple crunch at 350° for 35 to 45 minutes, or until apples are tender. Drizzle frosting over the pan. Serve Grand Dessert Pizza warm with ice cream, if desired.
Here's what I would do. I would heat them up and put an egg, bacon or sausage, and cheese on them. I would have my own mini egg mcmuffin! I know it's simple, but it would be good!!

I'd fill them with shredded BBQ pork :)
ReplyDeleteadrianecoros(at)gmail(dot)com
Smear on some favorite pasta sauce and sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese, heat till cheese melts. Yum
ReplyDeletebingomamanorma(at)gmail(dot)com
I like to divide each one in half. Spinkle with cheese, put them back together. Put fresh rosemary and a little cracked black pepper on each one. Bake as usual, until done.

This is how the kids like them- Bake them-add spoon of scrambed egg- add bacon bits or ham- and half slice of cheese.-Gone in minutes at our house.
ReplyDeletesupergrand2009@yahoo.com
mini grands- i would probably just let my kids eat them as they are- b/c they are also little- that would be the right size for them- my kids are age 1 and 2.. but other than that i would wrap hot sausage in them and bake it in the oven.
ReplyDeletetcogbill at live dot com
I'd prolly dip them in honey and cinnamon and make my own mini monkey breads!
ReplyDeleteSweetimpishpixie(AT)gmail(DOT)com
i would just put the little hot dogs in them and roll them up and cook them. or use them for chicken and dumplins
ReplyDeletetcogbill at live dot com
I would try sprinkling the biscuits with powdered sugar and making strawberry shortcake. The strawberry part is I believe something like 1 pt. of strawberries to 1/4 or 1/3 c. sugar, then top with whipped cream.
ReplyDeleteMy dh loves biscuits and gravy. I will use pillsbury grands biscuits and add this gravy:
ReplyDelete12oz. sausage, 1/3c flour, 1/2tsp salt, 1/4 tsp black pepper, 3c milk
1. Heat oven to 350°F. Bake biscuits.
2. Meanwhile, crumble sausage into large skillet. Cook over medium-high heat until browned, stirring frequently.
3. With a whisk, stir in flour, salt and pepper. Stir in milk. Cook until mixture thickens, stirring constantly.
Then, Serve sausage mixture over split biscuits.
