This is the wall behind where the toilet was.
This is the wall behind where the sink and vanity was.
And if all that isn't bad enough. Wait until you see the floors. Once we pulled up the peel-n-stick tile. Yep that's a crack you see in it. One of several. Not to mention just about as many different types of wood. Apparently at sometime, the bathroom flooded, and they replaced the flooring with whatever wood they had and could piece together enough to put tile on top of it.
So yep, I would say we have our work cut out for us. I'm wondering why when the inspector crawled under the house he didn't find this.
So what sold us on the house hmmmmm.......
Doesn't look that great now after sitting up all winter. But come the summer. With two kids here all the time, one that lives 15 minutes away and two more here every other weekend and most of the summer. We totally enjoy the pool.
That stinks...literally.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you do have your hands full over there. Good thing you starting ripping it out now because it would have only taken a little bit longer for it to get worse. It will look so much better when you are done.
Better hurry before the summer comes or you'll get nothing done.
I can't believe it- that was so wrong that the previous owner didn't mention that the bathroom flooded before! They tried to "cover it up" and has costed you a lot of expense! Well if anything good comes out of it- (a newly remodeled bathroom with new fixtures etc) I guess it will be worth it... we are going to start some projects around here for Mom.
ReplyDeleteStarting with the hall needs painting. Well talk to you soon.
Okay, you have scared me away from remodeling the powder room until my "401K in shock" mood has levelled. LOL and it is a nervous laugh.
ReplyDeleteYour pool is wonderful. Can't wait to see pics in the summer.
