HodgePodge Wednesday

Hodgepodge Wednesday and I've actually gotten mine answered this week.  So join in with Joyce and the rest of us.

1. Will you watch the Super Bowl? If so who will you root for? If you are outside the USA what is the 'big deal sporting event' in your own country?
I doubt I will watch it.  I really don't get into all the hoopla.

2. Is ignorance bliss?
I believe it can be.  Some people are ignorant and don't realize it.

3. Which of the seven dwarfs are you? (and just in case your Disney is a little bit rusty, here they are-Bashful, Doc, Dopey, Grumpy, Happy, Sleepy, and Sneezy)
I would say happy.  It usually takes alot to get me in a really bad mood and none of the others fit.

4. When you are riding in the car with another couple how do you organize the seating? (Men up front? Women up front? Couples sit together?) And thanks to Lori at Mountain Woman at Heart for the question! Everyone go say hi to Lori.
Men up front.

5. What is beauty?
It comes from within.  Honesty, trustworthy, and caring.

6. If someone asks you to bring an appetizer or a dessert to a party in their home, which would you choose?
Definitely dessert.   I'm best know for my desserts especially my gooey butter squares (Paula Deen's recipe).

7. What is your crowd pleasing go-to appetizer?
I want to call them pigs in a blanket but that's not it.  Little smokies wrapped in crescent rolls.

8. Insert your own random thought here.
I have missed doing hodgepodge Wednesday.  I have been so busy since Linda first had her stroke in December and her husband passing away.  Now she's living with us permanently and I have taken her to at least two Doctor appts each week.  Not to mention lawyer's office, tag office, social security office, banks, and shopping.  Wow makes me tired just thinking about it.
Okay done venting, because truly I'm not complaining.  Sunday I got really tired and had a melt-down.  But I have nothing to complain about.  Because I wouldn't want her anywhere else than here.  I told her I know the stigma of being a mother-in-law but she's more like a 2nd mother to me.

Prayer For Joanne

Even though I haven't posted that often lately,  I try to find time to at least read some of ya'll blogs and keep up with everyone.  There's a fellow blogger that needs our prayers.   Some of ya'll may be familiar with her blog.  She's  Joanne over at The Simple Wife.  But regardless if your one of her faithful followers or not.  If it was someone close to you, or yourself I know we would want all the prayers we could get.
She's a wife and a mother of two beautiful girls.  But on the morning of  January 12 she had a major stroke.   She is doing some better but has a long road ahead of her.  For the complete story and more recent updates please visit her blog.  The family needs our prayers and support.
The family is praying Psalms 46 over her and believing for complete healing.  In which I know God can answer our prayers.
I saw a miracle firsthand this summer when Chris recovered from his car accident and now again with Linda.  Her vision is improving everyday, and she has went this weekend from using a walker to using a cane.  Her memory is still foggy in areas but it is improving also.

It's a ...........................

Amongst Linda being released from the hospital and coming to live with us, Christmas and New Year's, and the kids being out of school for almost three weeks.  I had forgotten to blog about some very exciting news.
Emily is going to have a little brother.  Megan and Denny is expecting their second child at the end of May.
It doesn't seem like it's been that long since Emily was a baby, but she will be 2 in March.

We're all so excited and can't wait to spoil him just like we have  Emily.  But as they say the best part of being a grandparent is spoiling them and then sending them home.

TSMSS......................Mountain of God

I have been so busy this past week getting Linda home from the hospital and settled here at our house.  This song has come on the radio just about every time we went anywhere this week.
Some of her sight is still coming back, she doesn't have any peripheral vision, but considering that the Neurologist didn't give much hope of her seeing again.  But prayers are definitely being answered.
In which we have an appointment with him this Thursday.    I'm anxious to see his reaction when he finds out how well she is doing.
