Lately what's on everyone's mind and talk seems to be the election. I've read positive and negative blogs and media about it. But regardless even if we disagree with Obama we have to respect him because of his authority.
But I also believe he can't do anymore than we let him do. This isn't the time to sit down and do nothing. Also he doesn't hold the future only God does that. And as long as we realize God has it all in control there's nothing to fear.
One thing that keeps rolling around in my head is this.
If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
Two of the major issues seems to be same sex marriage, and abortions. I don't pay much attention to all the bashing of opponents. I just can't understand why they couldn't just say what they believe in and what they plan on doing. Without all the bashing. But as I'm told that's politics.
But one thing I did hear right before voting day was where Obama made the statement that even if his own daughter got pregnant by accident that abortion would be okay.
A baby is not an accident. It's a gift from God. I never will understand why some women get pregnant so easily just to have an abortion. Whereas there's women that would almost die to have just one baby of their own and can't. It breaks my heart when I think about what my sister-in-law has gone through wanting to have a baby of her own and hasn't been able to. If I was younger and physically able to I would carry their baby for them and give it to them.
That's one reason it's eating at me so much. The other is I had the rare opportunity to be in the car alone yesterday with my teenage son. And the talk turned to abortion. And I couldn't believe when he said that he thought that if a girl got raped or incest it would be okay to have an abortion. I'm sorry but I really think they need to have the baby and then put it up for adoption. With so many people out their that would adopt it and give it the love it so deserves, just seems the right thing to do.
I looked on here trying to find where it stated exactly when the Doctors believe that it's considered a baby.
And I found the following:
Day 1:The sperm fertilizes the egg. The sperm and egg each carries half of the normal amount of genetic material (DNA.) After fertilization, the egg now has a full set of genes that is unique.Day 6:The embryo, which has been floating free, comes to rest on the lining of the uterus, and burrows in. The embryo is now a round mass of cells, with an empty space in the middle.Week 2:The embryo now receives nutrients from the rich blood supply to the uterus. The embryo now consists of two layers of cells, roughly an "inside" layer and an "outside" layer.Week 3:A third cell layer has appeared, roughly a "middle" layer. The inner, outer, and middle layers of cells are destined to become different tissues in the developing fetus, such as skin and nerves, intestines, and muscle. The heart has begun to pump; the brain and spinal cord begin as a tube-like structure. You miss your first menstrual period. So therefore before a woman even knows she's pregnant it's a baby. So there's no justification for it. Abortion is murder
