I had picked out a different song earlier in the week, but then with everything going on I decided on this one.
Even though we go through trials He is still there. I have cried and prayed this week because of a decision my son is making that I think is a huge mistake. But as all of us parents know sometimes they just don't listen to us and have to find out the hard way. We don't want our children to fall, but to succeed. Prayerfully he will do this, but right now it's not looking very positive.
There is also other personal issues going on in which I won't share right now. But we need God's direction.
For other great songs check them out over at Amy's.
This is an encouraging song. It's new to me.
ReplyDeleteSending up a prayer for you and your son. It's so hard when our children don't make wise decisions and we're so helpless. But you are praying and God can do wonders with that! Keep the faith.
Thank you for the reminder.
ReplyDeleteI have 2 sons who are making wrong decisions.
It's so hard to watch.
But, Jesus will take us through the fire again.
What a great song! It seems that the theme this week is about going through trials. I beleive many of us are in the midst of challenges and the enemy loves to discourage us. But our God is greater. I love that we can visit one another and encourage each other through songs that we've chosen and words of love to one another. I hear your pain concerning choices made that you have no control over. But prayer is so powerful! Our God is the God of the impossible.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and love,
Debbie
We too are going through some trials, but I keep reminding myself this week that nothing happens without going through God's hand first. It helps me keep things in perspective and though I don't understand why it's happening, I know He does and He'll take care of it all (for us and for you)! Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThis is one of my all time favorites! I played this alot when I was going through my divorce just to remind me He was still there and I would get through it. Praying for your son!
ReplyDeleteuntil next time... nel
A great song ~ Praying for you all ~
ReplyDeleteI had not heard that song before Thena.
ReplyDeleteSending my thoughts and prayers your way....
Powerful song! I will be praying for you and your family and that the Lord will give you a clear sign for His direction....
ReplyDeleteBlessings Thena, Though this song is new to me, that's some powerful song...and praying that He takes you and your family through this "fire" and trial as only He can! Standing with you in agreement that His will be done, and you receive His clear direction. You are so right about how difficult it is to step away and allow God to work on our children's lives and their poor choices and decisions, as well as the consequences that follow. I hope that you are lifted up by others sharing in prayer. No more crying or tears but the power of deliverance in His Word!!! Stand strong in the strength of Him.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your visit, thoughts and prayers.
Peace,
Peggy
[FYI ~ I am grieving a close (young)friend who took his own life here in Mexico this past year and yesterday was the day my youngest brother died which stirred up more memories and grief, besides that here in Mexico Day of the Dead has been these last 2 days...heavy spirit!!!]
Hi, Thena,
ReplyDeleteThis song drives me to believe it's going to be okay! Praying for you and yours in this situation and for God's intervention!
Hugs,
