It's a ...........................

Amongst Linda being released from the hospital and coming to live with us, Christmas and New Year's, and the kids being out of school for almost three weeks.  I had forgotten to blog about some very exciting news.
Emily is going to have a little brother.  Megan and Denny is expecting their second child at the end of May.
It doesn't seem like it's been that long since Emily was a baby, but she will be 2 in March.

We're all so excited and can't wait to spoil him just like we have  Emily.  But as they say the best part of being a grandparent is spoiling them and then sending them home.

Emily

I realized I haven't posted any pics lately of Emily, my granddaughter.  So when Megan my daughter posted new pictures on her facebook.  I told her I was going to steal some of them to put on a blog and link them to her blog.   http://meganbhulsey.blogspot.com/

I did it again

As most of you know I'm always looking for ways to show off Emily, and yes you too Megan. I think Megan is very talented at taking pictures, and writing blogs. That's why I submitted her on a blog that features baby nurseries.http://www.spearmintbaby.com/2009/07/featured-nursery-emily.html

So go check out spearmint baby, she features a lot of awesome nurseries, not to mention her great giveaways.

Here's Megan's link to her blog http://meganbhulsey.wordpress.com/ so go see for yourself why I think she is great at taking pics of our wonderful Emily. Not to mention her funny way of writing to tell about all their great adventures as a family.

Out of the loop and my days lately

I feel like I have been totally out of it for over a week now. Ever since our computer crashed, died, went totally south. So now my only resource is my husband's work laptop when he gets home every evening.
A couple of days before our computer died a couple of blogs I had went on began opening page after page of the two blogs. Until there was about 18 pages opened. Not sure if that had anything to do with the computer dying or not. But since then I have been so leery of the blogs I go on. I follow about 90 blogs so since then ' I have only been reading the blogs that I have for the few months I have been blogging. I'm sorry but the 10 or so that I added the week before my computer crashed may be safe. But as I've always been told it's better to be safe than sorry.

Also this is how I've been spending my days while Megan is working.
Have you ever seen a sweeter face? I am loving getting sugar from her all day.

There's nothing like it.

Last night Megan and Denny had their first night out since Emily was born. And guess who got to watch Emily. Me "Nana". Can you hear the excitement? She's one month old today? WOW! Seems like only yesterday we were all sitting around and pacing the floor waiting for her to make her arrival.

So here's a few pics to show how we spent our evening. But mostly it was an evening of Nana holding her and getting lots and lots of sugar.

Baby Pictures

Megan has posted pictures on her blog today of Emily. As in previous blog I said no information until she put it on hers.
Emily Willow was born Monday March 2nd at 11:30 pm. She weighed 8 lbs and 3 ounces and 21 inches long. She is so beautiful. Go take a look here and see for yourself.
I just saw her again last night and I miss her already. I'm sure I was just as happy and full of love when all three of mine were born. But there's just something about a grandbaby. As we sat waiting at the Birthing Center Monday, I told my Mom I've never been on this side of it before. Waiting for my baby to have a baby. Their's a sense of helplessness. I wanted to make it go fast, easy, and painless for her. But yet her words after 21 hours of labor was it wasn't that bad. Just like any other Mother, once you hold that miracle in your arms all pain is forgotten.

NEW ARRIVAL

I've finally stopped long enough to blog.  Not giving much information, leaving that for the "New Mom" Megan .
All I will say after 21 hours of labor, and six and a half of those being hard contractions. At 11:30 last night, Baby girl is "finally" here.   Mama, Daddy, and Baby girl is doing great.  She is so beautiful.  A headful of black hair. I can't wait to spoil her.

Baby Books

My oldest daughter Megan has been wanting two certain books for the baby. You know the one that's three days past her due date. One was Goodnight Moon, and the other one we couldn't think of the name of it. Until Tuesday when http://thriftydecorchick.blogspot.com/ posted on her blog about the exact book. Love you forever.

So yesterday morning I set out to find these two books for Megan to read to baby girl. Megan had been down the last couple of days, just plain out miserable. So unknown to me she had gotten up and went shopping about the same time I did. When I found the books I texted her and caught up with her at Hobby Lobby. The look on her face, in which I haven't gotten so good at this stuff yet as carrying my camera with me everywhere. But I truly believe it helped to lift her spirits.
She has an appointment today with the mid-wife. So prayerfully she will be ready by then. If not it's going to be a really long weekend.
Will keep y'all posted.

Still waiting

Well no baby was born this weekend. Megan's actual due date is tomorrow, but we really thought just maybe she would go in labor this weekend. So yes technically she's not late yet.
But anyone that knows me, knows that I'm a now person, I have "NO" patience. But this little girl is definetly teaching us all to be patient.
I just hate seeing Megan so miserable. She's carrying her so low it's putting a lot of pressure on her  back. Just pray that she delivers soon, and all goes well for her and the baby.
