First Year Blogoversary
Tuesday was actually the official day of my blogoversary. I can't believe I have been blogging for a year now. To think when I first mentioned to Megan that I was thinking it would be fun but didn't know what in the world I would blog about. She just laughed. Since then I have read so many wonderful posts and have come to know several bloggers on a first name basis.
There is some when I'm having a bad day I know I can go to their blog and be inspired and feel much better. Then there is others I know I can click on and always have a good laugh. There is also those if I have an urgent need their just an email away and I know they are joining me in prayer.
I know I haven't been blogging much since the New Year but that's about to change. I miss my friends.

Random Dozen
1. Are you pleasant when you're ill, or are you a grumpy, fussy patient? Mostly pleasant, but want to be left alone.
2. When you find out that school is canceled (due to inclement weather) what is your gut reaction? It's been a long time since we had that to happen. If so it would be for a hurricane warning. So my reaction would be do we have to evacuate, or not.
3. What is one domestic skill you wish you could improve? Keeping the house clean. I clean but it never stays that way.
4. Do you decorate your home for Valentine's Day? Cant say that I do.
5. What song is on your mind today?
6. Do you prefer contemporary movies or classic? contemporary
7. How well do you "compartmentalize" your feelings? For example, how well can you put aside a really trying moment to deal with the immediate situation which is not related to the trying moment, e.g., putting aside a tiff with your spouse in order to finish wallpapering a room. I'm usually pretty good at it. Especially you know how on Sunday morning when everything is going wrong. The kids are grumpy, the husband is running late and you walk in church with a smile on your face. As if everything is perfect.
8. What is the first thing that attracted you to your spouse? (Or if you're single, to your best friend.) Not really sure because he's changed so much since we've gotten married.
9. When was the last time your heart raced? Can't remember.
10. What are your memories of Valentine's Day at school? Elementary school we always decorated a shoe box for all of our Valentine's to go in. They don't do that here anymore, they bring them home in a paper bag.
11. If you were going to receive candy for Valentine's Day, which would you prefer? Anything but the boxes of chocolate, most of that candy just isn't that good to me.
12. Red or pink? Pink, definetly.

Usually noon or whenever I get hungry.

Then Sings My Soul Saturday
Not sure if ya'll have noticed but it seems lately all I can blog is memes. Something I don't really have to think about. It's not that I don't have anythng to blog about, I have two reviews I need to post. I wanted to do a post weekly from the book A Wife After God's Own Heart, and have only done that once. I haven't even read that many of everyone elses posts much less comment on them. I know, I miss that interaction, but most of the time I just don't feel like responding to anything.
I don't know if it's burnout, a slump, or depression. But I am so ready to get back into the swing of things.
Anyways with all that said, I had been seeing this meme for a while and joined in last week and so enjoyed it. So join Amy and the rest of us and post your favorite song, or just one that may touch your heart today. When I began looking for a song to post today I thought I had it all figured out and then I came across this one.
My heart breaks when I watch the news of Haiti. But amidst it all the miracles that we are all still seeing happening over there. People being rescued after ten days is just unheard of. But it happened. I'm not sure which one I was watching late last night but showing the orphan children. Laying there in pain and just needing someone to hold them and love them. I pray that they can feel God's love surrounding them.
